Fostering (WARNING: PUPPY OVERLOAD)

We are fostering 5 adorable husky/shepherd mix puppies from New Mexico. Over memorial day weekend there were a lot of puppies just dropped off at the pound and they were completely full, so the  group RR (Rescue Rovers) went to New Mexico and filled up a van full of dogs and puppies and came to Utah and me, my mom, and Kristy met them in American Fork.

We thought we were only going to end up with 2 puppies and then they said they couldn't split them since they were so young. It WAS a litter of 10 though, they split them two groups of 5. We love them to pieces though

So there are our five babies the second day we had them, they were 4 weeks old. I spent most of my time sitting outside with them as they slept on my lap or right next to me, I was in HEAVEN! There were ups and downs, like waking up at 5 am to feed them and all of them getting so excited and grabbing your pants so you can barely walk.

Now let me tell you about each of these puppies.

Boomer: At first he was kind of a stinker and aggressive yet when you picked him up he went limp and loved you and you loved him, BUT as time went on his personality Shined and he became the most sweetest boy you knew. He is laid back, lovable, friendly with other dogs and people, just a great little companion. He has people who has a deposit on him and take him home in a couple of weeks and i'm SO incredibly excited for him, he will have a 10 year old brother named Tyson (German Shepherd)  and he'll be around horses and being able to swim. It sounds like the most perfect home for him. His new daddy is getting surgery on his adoption date, so we get to keep him for a couple more weeks before he can go to his forever home. We love him to pieces!

Knuckles: Our little escape artist, as we like to call him. He is the first one to figure out how to get out of his cage. Also, he's the runt, the smallest but acts the biggest. Here is a picture to demonstrate that --
Big dog in a little body.
He's a sweetheart though, he loves licking your legs when you're standing. He may be always waking up the other pups while they're sleeping but once he's asleep, he is out COLD. He unfortunately is the only one right now that has not been deposited on for adoption, but i'm sure it won't take too long before he gets adopted. He will take a lot of work though, he's kinda hard headed and really smart.

He kind of teased my niece Anna a lot, so now when she sees Knuckles coming towards her she hurries and lifts her dress up... He is REALLY good with her now, just at the time, he felt like teasing a little kid. ;)

Zelda: She was little miss popular on Rescue Rovers facebook page. Everyone thought she was the cutest thing. When we first had her she was quiet and she looked like a little elf, we were always concerned about her since she was the thinnest and just looked sad all the time.

She was the first one with applications and had the most, her new momma is from Vernal and drove to THREE hours to see her and put a deposit on her! She seemed so perfect for Zelda that I can't wait for June 25th so she can go be with her! Zelda is the most social puppy out of all of them, and the biggest. She will be one big girly.

Samus: she is the one that wants to be treated like a princess and thinks she is a lap dog. She is our smiley dog, she always is showing her teeth whether it's when she's playing or sleeping. She's got that little grin on her face.

Sammy was adopted by a nice lady with a Shitzu that was one year old. Kassi (her momma) actually came to look at either Boomer or Knuckles, but when she got there she saw Sammy's wonderful personality and knew that fit her much better. She was looking at these larger dogs because her Shitzu, Daisy, got attacked by some large cat (bobcat?) and when they found Daisy her intestines were almost coming out. LUCKILY Daisy survived and now gets a little big sister to protect her from now on!

Rush: This is my baby boy Rush, I decided to adopt him and make him apart of mine and Scotts small family. He will be my running, hiking, and swimming buddy. This is where the BARK comes into the blog name. This is my first time with a big dog and running with a dog so lets hope it goes good! He is the sweetest dog, also one of the biggest! Him and Zelda are the big dogs.

He was the first one to go down the stairs by himself and to jump off the couch. He just really won my heart over with his personality. <3 I'm so happy to have him a part of our family and his first camping trip is in July!
